For the ADAA Art Show 2021, Davidson Gallery is pleased to present Swoop In, a solo presentation of new works by Angela Heisch. Formally rooted in abstraction, Heisch’s paintings and drawings take on both architectural and biomorphic forms. Regardless of the medium, Heisch builds a perceived balance - not quite symmetrical shapes, intimations of natural forms and odd visages appear out of the ether using references that are both obvious and oblique, playing with the viewer’s eye and mind and presenting almost-there images that disappear and reassemble as the gaze wanders across the painting.
